Welcome !
Marion J. May is an artist and writer
living in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Her repertoire consists of
watercolour paintings, pastel, and coloured-ink compositions. Marion's
unique, floral, watercolour compositions combine bas-relief (raised)
sculpted paper with bright watercolours, rendering floral works of art
reminiscent of delicate antique china patterns.
Painting onsite – and with the help of photos when the weather turns
– Marion's vivid, colourful compositions are inspired by the rugged,
seldom-seen, virgin landscapes of Newfoundland, Québec, and Northern
and Eastern Ontario. Her paintings, Giclée* prints and compositions
hang in their buyers' homes and places of business, across Canada in:
British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Québec and
Ontario.
Giclée prints are available for some of Marion's paintings. See Contact
Us to order prints to be shipped within Canada. Outside Canada, please
inquire directly via e-mail for special shipping arrangements.
*Giclée prints are "fine art prints" created via digital
output using pigmented inks so each print is water-resistant and
archival. All of Marion's Giclée prints are printed on 100 per cent
cotton fiber mold-made, paper that is pH-neutral, acid-free and
lignin-free.

Next to the Sound of Music soundtrack and beyond painting and
writing, skating on the Rideau Canal is one of Marion's favourite things
